Not Days Gone 2 again: Bend Studio is developing a new service game, months after a similar project was cancelled
In January 2025, Sony cancelled an unannounced service game that was being handled by Bend Studio.
Gamers welcomed the news with joy and rekindled a little hope for a sequel to the biker zombie action game Days Gone, which originally came out in 2019 and was met with critical acclaim, but over time gamers grew to love it.
Here's What We Know
It looks like Days Gone 2 will remain a pipe dream after all, as the studio has opened a vacancy for the position of creative director of a certain service game. The specialist should have experience in the development of multiplayer projects, but this does not exclude the fact that the game may have a single-player mode.
However, it should be noted that Sony is moving further away from the desire to release a large number of service games, so it can't be excluded that eventually the new Bend Studio project will be cancelled, as it seems to happen soon with another game - online shooter FairGame$.
