Leaked images and specifications of Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026
Motorola is preparing an update to its budget smartphone lineup, and thanks to a leak, we already know what to expect from the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026. Both models have appeared in renders and promotional materials, and their key specifications have been revealed.
Moto G 2026 will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, indicating the use of an LCD panel. The screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The main camera is 50 MP, complemented by a macro sensor, and the front camera is 32 MP, which is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. The 5200 mAh battery will support 30W charging, and the performance will be handled by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (UFS 2.2).
TheMoto G Play 2026 is a simplified version that will have only 64 GB of storage, a 32 MP main camera, an 8 MP front camera, and 18W charging. Both smartphones will run on Android 16 from launch.
Interestingly, Motorola continues its collaboration with Pantone: the Moto G 2026 will be available in Cattleya Orchid and the G Play 2026 in Tapestry. Both models are expected to debut in North America, probably as early as January 2026, although the release may come earlier.
