Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection debuts on 30 October - fighting game and retro gaming fans shouldn't miss this release

Digital Eclipse studio revealed the release date of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, which is created primarily for fans of retro games and those who want to trace the history of the legendary fighting game.

Here's What We Know

Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is a unique collection, which will include more than ten games of the series, not only for home consoles, but also those that were released on arcade machines and failed portable versions. It will be available to PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox and both Nintendo Switch users as early as 30 October, with the physical edition coming out on 12 December.

The collection will include:

  • Mortal Kombat - 1992 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear).
  • Mortal Kombat II - 1993 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, 32X).
  • Mortal Kombat 3 - 1995 (Arcade, SNES, Genesis).
  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - 1995 (Arcade, WaveNet Arcade, SNES).
  • Mortal Kombat Trilogy - 1996 (PlayStation).
  • Mortal Kombat 4 - 1997 (Arcade).
  • Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero - 1997 (PlayStation).
  • Mortal Kombat Special Forces - 2000 (PlayStation).
  • Mortal Kombat Advance - 2001 (Game Boy Advance).
  • Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance - 2002 (Game Boy Advance).
  • Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition - 2003 (Game Boy Advance).

The developers improved compatibility with modern systems, adapted the controls, fixed almost all known bugs, improved the network code, added special timelines that show the gradual development of the series and made other small improvements.

In addition, Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection includes an interactive documentary featuring a history of the series' origins, rare concept art, archival footage and exclusive interviews with the original MK developers, including of course Ed Boon and John Tobias.
