4.4 million gamers have bought Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - the highest-rated game of 2025 is seeing great sales
Sandfall Interactive hasn't revealed sales stats for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in a while. The last data was published 33 days after the game's release and then it was claimed that the circulation of the hit RPG was 3.3 million copies, of course.
Now the developers have shared the updated data.
Here's What We Know
Expedition 33's senior gameplay programmer Florian Torres and character hair designer Amandine Marest took part in the ZEVENT 2025 charity event, during which they reported that the game's sales on all platforms exceeded 4.4 million copies.
This is a really great result for the debut game of a small studio, which is also made in an extremely niche genre and has a difficult to understand story.
It is noteworthy that despite the availability of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on Xbox Game Pass, so many gamers spared no expense and purchased the game.
Florian Torres also mentioned that Expedition 33 took five years to create, of which several people worked on it for the first two years.
The developer confirmed that part of the creative team has already started preparations for the next game, which, according to Sandfall Interactive head Guillaume Broche, will be part of the Clair Obscur franchise.
