Alphabet Corporation - Google's parent company - has become the fourth company in the world whose market capitalisation has surpassed the $3 trillion mark. This historic achievement was recorded on 15 September 2025 on the back of rapid growth of shares and successes in the field of artificial intelligence.

Here's What We Know

Alphabet joined Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia, which had previously crossed the $3 trillion threshold.

The reason for Alphabet's capitalisation growth was due to the following factors:

  • Alphabet shares have risen more than 30% since the end of July, reaching a record high of $252;
  • a key driver was the success of AI projects, including the flagship Gemini platform and the Nano Banana image generator;
  • a positive ruling from the US antitrust court, which rejected the US DOJ's request to sell Chrome and Android.

Twenty years after Google's IPO and just over 10 years after the founding of its holding company Alphabet, the company has reached a new milestone, cementing its position as one of the leaders in the technology sector.
