Xiaomi 17 Pro will get a Leica camera with three 50 MP sensors - insider shares technical details of the flagship

A series of flagship smartphones Xiaomi 17 attracts more and more attention. The Chinese company does not hide that it decided to challenge the IPhone 17 and even specifically for the sake of it changed the numbering of the line.

Published earlier promo video allowed to evaluate the unusual design of the Xiaomi 17 Pro camera unit, which houses an additional display, and information from the insider Digital Chat Station reveals the characteristics of the cameras of the future flagship.

Here's What We Know

According to the informant, Xiaomi 17 Pro will get a Leica camera with three 50 MP sensors:

• the main module features a large-sized sensor (probably around 1″) and a lens with an aperture of F/1.67″;
• the fivex optical zoom module will have a telephoto lens with an aperture of F/3.0 and a 115mm wide-angle lens;
• the third module will get a 17mm wide-angle lens.

Separately, Digital Chat Station clarified that the specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max cameras won't be the same, but it didn't provide any additional details.

Presentation of Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max is expected in September. The new products will be the first flagships on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
