It's almost official: the Yakuza 3 remake could be announced next week
Sega and studio Ryu Ga Gotoku have hinted at what the next project in the popular Yakuza/ Like a Dragon franchise will be.
Here's What We Know
Attentive gamers found that on the website of the Japanese studio there is a section dedicated to the unannounced Yakuza Kiwami 3 game.
Fans of the series know that with the word "Kiwami" the developer marks remakes of its classic games, which means that gamers are waiting for an updated version of Yakuza 3, which was released in 2009 and is considered one of the best parts of the series.
Mention of Yakuza Kiwami 3 was promptly removed from the site, but a screenshot is circulating on the web, but unfortunately in Japanese:
As a reminder, the annual RGG Summit 2025 show will take place on 24 September, where Yakuza Kiwami 3 may be announced. If it's not there, Tokyo Game Show 2025 will take place from 25-28 September, where Ryu Ga Gotoku is on the list of exhibitors.
