Dacia has unveiled a commercial version of the new Duster in the UK - the crossover has been converted into a van. Prices start at £22,995 (€26,520) excluding VAT.

Here's What We Know

The Duster Cargo has a wooden deck with luggage holders instead of the rear seats, and the interior is separated by a mesh partition. The cargo area has a capacity of 1,149 litres, which is almost the same as the Toyota Corolla Commercial. As part of the simplification of the model, the rear windows have been replaced with fixed plates.

The model is offered with two petrol hybrid set-ups. The base mild-hybrid is a 1.2 turbo engine (128 hp, 170 N-m) with a six-speed manual and all-wheel drive. Full hybrid combines a 1.8 engine with two electric motors (153 hp) and front-wheel drive.

Payload is 410kg for mild-hybrid and 430kg for full-hybrid. The former is capable of towing up to 1.5 tonnes, while the latter can tow only half that weight.

Duster Cargo will be offered in one Expression configuration: 17-inch discs, driver's seat with six adjustments and multimedia with 10.1-inch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Deliveries will start before the end of the year.
