Spectacular and effective: Sony showed off the paired katana combat in Ghost of Yōtei

Sony and Sucker Punch studio continue to delight gamers with introductory trailers of Ghost of Yōtei action game, dedicated to the impressive arsenal of traditional Japanese weapons available to the protagonist Atsu.

Here's What We Know

Earlier the developers have already shown how the heroine masterfully wields Kusarigama ( Kusarigama ), Yari spear, Teppo firearms and a huge two-handed katana Odachi (Ōdachi). Now, the developers have shown how the young avenger masterfully fights with Dual Katana.

Taking two swords, the girl not only delivers spectacular lightning-fast strikes, but can also break through enemy blocks faster, as her attacks are much faster and come from different directions.

When We Can Expect It

Ghost of Yōtei will be released on 2 October 2025 exclusively on PlayStation 5.
