DJI has unveiled the Mini 5 Pro, a 250 gram flagship drone that combines portability with professional capabilities to capture high-quality video and photos without bulky equipment.

Here's What We Know

The Mini 5 Pro gets a 1″ 50 MP CMOS sensor, which is a notable step up from previous models. The drone is capable of recording videos in 4K up to 120 FPS, supports HDR, 10-bit colour reproduction and portrait photography thanks to a swivel gimbal with up to 225° angle.

Safety and flight stability are ensured by omnidirectional sensors including frontal LiDAR and infrared sensors, allowing the drone to navigate confidently even in low-light conditions. The OcuSync 4+ transmission system provides a range of up to 20km, while Wi-Fi 6 support allows for fast transfer of footage.

Built-in memory of 42GB is complemented by a microSD slot, and flight time reaches 36 minutes with the basic battery and up to 52 minutes with the extended battery (depending on the region).

The Mini 5 Pro is available in several bundles, including a Fly More Combo with extra batteries, RC-N3 or RC2 controllers, propellers, filters and a case.

Prices start at €798 in Europe, £689 in the UK, $769 CAD in Canada, but the device will not be sold in the US, much like DJI's other new products including the Mavic 4 Pro.
