Xiaomi has taken the high-performance version of the YU7 electric crossover to the Nürburgring for testing. The prototype received camouflage in red and white colour scheme.

Here's What We Know

The prototype of this version of the YU7 was first spotted in China in July, shortly after the launch of the standard YU7. Then it was reported that the novelty will be called YU7 Ultra by analogy with the sedan SU7 Ultra, but according to the Chinese media, the designation will be different - YU7 GT.

The photo from Germany was published by blogger Niubei Shehuiren. You can see wide rear wings, lowered ground clearance and aerodynamic elements like a large spoiler. The crossover gets 21-inch wheels, ceramic brakes with yellow calipers and probably wide tyres. The car also has frameless mirrors, recessed door handles and roof-mounted lidar.

According to unofficial reports, the YU7 GT's powertrain is the same as the SU7 Ultra. It is three electric motors: one at the front with 288 kW (286 hp) and two at the rear with 450 kW (570 hp), totalling 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) and 1,770 Nm of torque. Power is provided by a 93.7 kWh CATL Qilin 2.0 battery.
