Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 have been included in IGN's updated top of best game remakes

The editors of the authoritative IGN portal have updated the list of the best remakes in the history of the gaming industry.

Every year more and more excellent updated versions of classic games are released, so it was decided to expand the top 10 to fifteen positions.

Here's What We Know

For less than a year Konami released two highly appreciated remakes: stealth action Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2, and both games deservedly received excellent reviews and took their place in the top.

However, the leader remains Resident Evil 2 (2019). According to IGN editors, no one has yet managed to surpass the remake of this horror game from Capcom.

The new list of the best remakes from IGN looks like this:

  2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth;
  3. Resident Evil (2002);
  4. Silent Hill 2 Remake;
  5. Persona 3 Reload;
  6. Resident Evil 4 (2023);
  7. Metroid: Zero Mission;
  8. Demon's Souls (2020);
  9. Shadow of the Colossus (2018);
  10. Final Fantasy VII Remake;
  11. Black Mesa;
  12. Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater;
  13. Live A Live;
  14. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019);
  15. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
