Realme has confirmed that a new generation of flagships - GT 8 and GT 8 Pro - will be introduced in October 2025. These are the first models of the GT series to be released after almost a year-long pause. The company has released a teaser and opened pre-orders.

Expected characteristics

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Realme GT 8 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300. Both devices will have AMOLED displays with a high refresh rate (rumoured to be 6.78" for the Pro). Fast charging support of up to 150W is expected. The GT 8 Pro is likely to have a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor, as well as a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. Realme is actively promoting cameras as a key advantage of its new products.

The smartphones will run on Realme UI 6, based on Android 14, with an updated design and new features for productivity and security.
