Vivo X300 and X300 Pro to receive Zeiss Teleconverter 2.35x kit lens
Vivo has confirmed that the X300 and X300 Pro will be compatible with the Zeiss 2.35x kit telephoto lens, an accessory previously used on the Vivo X200 Ultra. This telephoto lens allows you to capture distant objects in high definition thanks to an optical zoom that is not available with conventional built-in phone cameras.
Details.
The accessory supports not only telephoto mode, but also landscape, portrait, reportage and professional shooting. The new tele-converter mode also adds fast and portrait shooting functions, expanding its versatility.
The X300 series is equipped with a 200-megapixel ZEISS APO Super Telephoto lens. Vivo product manager Han Bosiao shared photos taken at 200mm, 400mm and 800mm focal lengths.
Vivo X300 Pro has a CIPA 5.5 stabilisation rating. The base model Vivo X300 has a CIPA 4.5. This is considered one of the best ratings in the industry, reducing blur when shooting at high zoom levels. The design of the accessory is specially adapted to the X300 series to maintain stabilisation performance, unlike some periscopic cameras that lose stabilisation when mounted externally.
The tele-converter is available in two colours to match light and dark smartphone bodies. It is compatible with both the standard version of the X300 and the Pro model.
The evolution of Vivo telephoto lenses
The evolution of vivo telephoto lens technology began with the X100 Ultra, which was the first to feature the 200MP ZEISS APO Super Telephoto. Then the X200 Pro was the first to feature the ZEISS Teleconverter kit. The X300 series continues on this path, offering accessory support for the entire line, improved stabilisation and an updated telephoto lens.
The official release of the smartphones is expected on 13 October.
