At Kojima Productions' 10th Anniversary Celebration Show, the debut trailer for an animated film based on the Death Stranding universe was screened, which was given the working subtitle Mosquito.

Here's What We Know

The audience was introduced to the protagonist nicknamed Mosquito, and he got this name for a reason, because on his face appears what can be called a proboscis, like a mosquito, which allows him to absorb chiralium (an important substance in the Death Stranding universe).

It is already clear that the plot of the film is not directly related to the events of the Death Stranding game, but the atmosphere and general style is recognisable from the first shots.

Death Stranding: Mosquito is produced by Hideo Kojima, directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto and written by Aaron Guzikowski.

As of now, nothing is known about the film and its premiere date.
