GoPro has officially announced three new products that expand its ecosystem for shooting and editing video. They include a new compact action camera for bloggers, the second version of the 360-degree camera, and a new stabiliser with artificial intelligence.

GoPro MAX2

A new generation of 360° camera that captures video in true 8K resolution. That's 21% more pixels than the competition, providing superior detail and image quality even after cropping. And the Super Slo-Mo feature lets you shoot in 4K at 100fps or 5.6K at 60fps, allowing you to capture even more stunning videos (if you have enough memory).

The camera has 6 microphones and support for 10-bit encoding (GP-Log). The new product automatically detects and removes selfie sticks from the video, which creates the effect of shooting from a drone. GoPro Max 2 supports interchangeable lenses that can be easily replaced manually and are made of impact-resistant optical glass.

Max's proprietary HyperSmooth + Horizon Lock stabilisation helps you get high-quality footage even in the most extreme shooting. The camera is waterproof and can withstand submersion up to 5 metres. The manufacturer promises that the 1960 mAh battery is not afraid of the cold, but does not specify specific figures. It will definitely withstand the harsh California frosts of +10°C.

GoPro LIT Hero

A new compact lifestyle camera with built-in lighting designed specifically for vertical content. It's aimed at bloggers, streamers, TikTok creators, and anyone who shoots video for mobile platforms. The camera can shoot 4K video at 60fps with HDR and weighs just 93g. The battery life is up to 2 hours. The camera has 2 noise-cancelling microphones and supports Bluetooth microphones, including AirPods.

Fluid Pro AI

An AI-enabled gimbal stabiliser for tracking objects that can be used not only with GoPro, but also with smartphones and other compact cameras weighing up to 400g. It has a built-in flashlight, and the battery life is claimed to be 18 hours.

As it is easy to guess, all products have AI. If the stabiliser's AI only provides fixation of a person in the frame, the cameras promise improved video recording in difficult conditions, including dusk, as well as improved voice recording in noisy environments. The cameras are also available with proprietary cloud-based video processing services.

The company also confirmed that all three products will be available this autumn. Prices and exact launch dates will be announced in the near future.
