Have you ever been in a conversation with someone and not understood a word they were saying? Now it's a thing of the past! WhatsApp has launched a new feature called Message Translations, which allows you to translate text messages directly in chats. It works in private chats, groups, and channels. To use the translation, just press and hold on a message, select Translate, and specify the language you want to translate from or to. You can also save the translation for later use.

Android users will get an additional feature - automatic translation of all incoming chat messages. WhatsApp assures that all translations are performed locally on the device, meaning that even the company itself does not have access to their content. This is achieved through the use of system translators, which are different on iOS and Android.

The feature has already been launched for Android and iPhone, but the set of supported languages differs. On Android, English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Arabic and Russian are supported - where can we go without the American piety for vodka and nesting dolls? iPhone users will be able to translate messages into more than 19 languages - the iOS system translator is used, which at the time of writing supports Arabic, Danish, English (UK/US), French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Mandarin Simplified, Mandarin Traditional, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.
