Xiaomi 17 Pro will have a record-breaking dynamic range - backlight is no longer a problem
Xiaomi continues to work on the 17th series of smartphones, periodically boasting about the changes it has made. Thus, Xiaomi 17 Pro will have a camera with a new Light Fusion 800 sensor, which the Chinese call the "king of backlight". This 50-megapixel sensor was developed by Xiaomi together with OmniVision and has a size of 1/1.55".
The sensor has been given the marketing name Light and Shadow Hunter 950L, and together with a powerful ISP processor, it is capable of receiving information from both the brightest and darkest areas. The ultra-wide dynamic range LOFIC technology is capable of covering a contrast range of 16.5EV. There are also reports of enlightened optics that will suppress parasitic glare and light refraction.
The Xiaomi 17 line is expected to be announced tomorrow. The flagship model will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a battery with a record high silicon content of about 16%.
