Xiaomi launched the global version of HyperOS 3: find out the main innovations of the Android 16-based shell

At the presentation of Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro smartphones, the Chinese company announced the global launch of HyperOS 3 - a new version of the proprietary operating system, which replaces MIUI and leverages all the features of Android 16.
Here's What We Know
HyperOS 3 will be an important step for Xiaomi in updating the visuals of its devices. The company relies on modern design and comfortable interaction, following trends but adapting them to the peculiarities of its own ecosystem.
HyperOS 3 firmware includes the following innovations:
- HyperConnect: a technology for seamless interaction between Xiaomi smartphones, tablets, laptops and IoT devices. File transfer, notification synchronisation and app collaboration are supported;
- HyperIsland: an interactive notification area inspired by Apple's Dynamic Island, adapted to Xiaomi's interface;
- redesigned design: redesigned icons, animations and widgets, better adapted for larger screens;
- performance optimisation: faster app launches, reduced power consumption and improved background performance;
- Security and privacy: new access settings, enhanced permissions, and data protection when connecting to other devices.
HyperOS 3 has already received the following devices:
- Xiaomi 15 / 15T / 15T Pro
- Redmi K70 Ultra
- Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro
- Xiaomi Watch S3
- Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro
- Some Xiaomi TV and Smart Home models
The update is rolling out in phases. Xiaomi promises that by the end of October, HyperOS 3 will be available on most of the brand's current devices.
