The main thing about Resident Evil Requiem: Capcom has unveiled a review trailer for the ambitious horror game

During Tokyo Game Show 2025 Capcom presented an overview trailer of Resident Evil Requiem.

The trailer doesn't reveal any important details, but emphasises the main features of the new game.

Here's What We Know

The developer reminded that in the centre of attention will be FSB analyst Grace Ashcroft. The girl has no outstanding combat skills and practically can't hold a gun, but in a difficult situation she is forced to urgently learn how to use it, because her life depends on it.

In Requiem, players will be able to freely switch between first-person and third-person view. Capcom states that the modes are equally convenient, but allow to experience Grace's horrors in different ways and customise the gameplay to your own preferences.

In the trailer, the developers reminded that part of the game's events will unfold in the ruins of Raccoon City, and the story will again involve the Umbrella Corporation, which caused the outbreak of the zombie virus.

Capcom emphasised that Tokyo Game Show attendees will be able to try Resident Evil Requiem on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, so plenty of gameplay footage and new details will appear online in the coming days.

Resident Evil Requiem will release on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2
