Great sound for $40: Xiaomi has launched a stylish and compact Bluetooth speaker

In addition to the expensive flagship Sound 2 Max speaker, Xiaomi has introduced a portable Bluetooth speaker with an ultra-thin metal body, priced at just around $40 (in terms of yuan).

Here's What We Know

The Xiaomi Portable Bluetooth Speaker is available in six colour options: green (inspired by the Xiaomi SU7), obsidian (SU7 Ultra), blue, pink, purple and titanium. It's a lightweight (249g) and stylish device that takes up virtually no space.

Key features of the speaker:

• acoustics: two full-range speakers + passive radiator, 3W power;
• stereo: up to 10 speakers can be combined for spatial sound;
• memory: 4GB of inbuilt memory - you can download up to 750 songs in excellent quality;
• connectivity: Bluetooth 5.4, NFC support, HyperOS, control via proprietary app;
• Battery: 1980 mAh, up to 10 hours of battery life, charging via USB-C;
• IP66 water and dust protection.

For now, the Xiaomi Portable Bluetooth Speaker is only available in China, with an international release yet to be confirmed.
