Honor has confirmed that its new flagship tablet, the MagicPad 3 Pro, will feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset - and will be the first tablet to use this processor.

The tablet will be announced in China in October along with the Magic 8 series. The design will remain almost identical to the MagicPad 3: a flat aluminium body with a square camera unit on the back.

The new product is expected to have the same 13.3″ LCD 3.2K (3200×2136) display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. The Gen 5 chipset, according to available tests, provides: +20% CPU performance, +23% GPU performance and +37% NPU speed compared to the previous generation. With such characteristics, it will be the most powerful Android tablet.

MagicPad 3 costs from $599, and the Pro version is likely to rise closer to $800. The global launch is expected after the Chinese release, probably in early 2026.
