Xiaomi 17 breaks records: in the first five minutes of sales in China, the flagship range surpassed all 2025 smartphones
Today - 27 September - sales of Xiaomi's flagship 17 smartphone range have started in China. It was obvious that the "iPhone 17 competitor" will cause a huge interest of buyers, thanks to the combination of excellent performance, powerful cameras and an unusual design element of Pro-models - an additional display built into the camera module. But, perhaps, still such excitement few people expected.

Within five minutes, the Xiaomi 17 series broke the sales records of the new 2025 smartphone series in all price segments, as well as the sales records of the first day.
The Pro Max attracted particular attention from buyers - more than 50 per cent of the total sales of the entire Xiaomi 17 series went to the most expensive version.
Xiaomi 17 has several advantages that make the smartphones attractive:
- they are the first gadgets on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset;
- one of the first gadgets on the new HyperOS 3 firmware;
- up to 7000mAh battery and support for fast charging up to 100VT;
- triple Leica camera, which is as good as the iPhone 17 Pro Max;
- additional display (the base model does not have it) not only makes the smartphone design unusual, but also has a wide range of practical applications;
- excellent performance and support for top technologies.
