“Jackie Chan, support beer!”: the Optimus robot demonstrated impressive kung fu skills

Tesla CEO Elon Musk published another video demonstrating the capabilities of the humanoid assistant robot Optimus.

Previously, footage demonstrated how he dances, does household chores, and treats kids to popcorn, and now the billionaire showed how (someday) the robot will be able to protect its owner.

What is known

Musk presented a video of the Optimus robot sparring with a professional kung fu master. Musk was asked how autonomous the robot is in its actions, to which he replied that unlike previous demonstrations where Optimus repeated the actions shown to it by the operator, now its AI is sufficient to respond to the actions of the sparring partner based on the current situation and previously acquired experience.

Of course, Optimus currently lacks grace and fluidity of movement, but it is evident that it learns quickly and its skills are progressing.
