Only two days left until the release of Battlefield 6, which promises to be a hit among online shooters and bring back the franchise’s former popularity. Until recently, Activision was confident (or successfully pretended to be) that the next installment of Call of Duty would easily surpass its competitor, but gamers’ interest in Battlefield 6 suggests otherwise.

What is known

Probably, upon learning about almost two million pre-orders for Battlefield 6, Activision made a last-ditch effort to divert gamers’ attention from the competitor’s shooter and announced a free week in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

From October 9 to 16, everyone on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation will be able to try out the full version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (2024) for free, meaning that gamers will have access to the single-player campaign, multiplayer, zombie mode, and “battle royale”.

Additional interest in Black Ops 6 and Warzone should be attracted by the temporary event The Haunting — a collaboration with the “Predator” franchise on the occasion of the upcoming premiere of the film “Predator: Badlands”.
