Sennheiser HDB 630 makes wireless sound truly audiophile — includes a dongle with its own sound card
Sennheiser presented the HDB 630 — flagship wireless headphones with 42mm dynamic drivers made in Ireland, supporting 24-bit/96 kHz sound via USB-C or Bluetooth 5.2 (aptX Adaptive). Included is the BDT 700 dongle, which essentially acts as an external sound card that can add hi-res audio to most smartphones. Additionally, this approach allows flexible sound control, equalizer settings, channel mixing, etc. — without distortion.
The headphones feature ANC, up to 60 hours of playback, fast charging (+7 hours in 10 minutes of charging), IDEATEX Japanese leather ear cushions, and a case with cables. Via the Smart Control Plus app, users can utilize a parametric equalizer, Crossfeed mode, and share presets via QR codes. The latency is only 30 ms, which is sufficient even for fast-paced games. Dynamic volume adjustment, "transparency" mode, and active noise cancellation (ANC) are supported.
Unlike most competitors, Sennheiser focuses not on boosted bass, but on sound clarity, vocal intelligibility, and rich mid frequencies.
The dongle also supports Auracast technology, allowing multiple people to listen to music simultaneously. It supports codecs aptX, aptX Adaptive Audio, aptX Lossless, SBC, and LC3, with a range of up to 50 meters.
Price: €499.90 / $499.95, sales start — October 21, 2025. The USB-C dongle costs $59.95 separately.
