HBO has presented the official teaser for the series "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" during New York Comic Con. This is an original half-hour dramatic series set in the world of Westeros, which will tell a new, more intimate story in the familiar universe of Game of Thrones. The premiere will take place on January 19 on HBO Max, and new episodes will be released every Monday.

Plot

The events unfold centuries before the story of Game of Thrones. Two unexpected heroes travel through Westeros – the young, naive, but brave knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his small squire Egg. In times when the Targaryens still hold the Iron Throne and memories of the last dragons have not faded, great destinies, dangerous enemies, and adventures that can change history await this pair.

  • Peter Claffey – Ser Duncan "Dunk" the Tall. Known for the series "Bad Sisters" (Bad Sisters, Apple TV+).
  • Dexter Sol Ansell – Egg. Appeared in "The Midwich Cuckoos" and the film "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes".
  • Daniel Ings – Ser Lionel Baratheon. Familiar to viewers from "Sex Education" and "The Crown".
  • Bertie Carvel – Baelor Targaryen. Olivier Award winner, appeared in "Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell" and "The Tragedy of Macbeth".
  • Danny Webb – Ser Arlan of Pentos. Known to audiences from "Alien³" and the series "The Bill".
  • Sam Spruell – Maegor Targaryen. Starred in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "The North Water".
  • Finn Bennett – Aerion Targaryen. Star of "True Detective: Night Country".
  • Edward Ashley – Ser Steffon Fossoway. Appeared in "The Lost City of Z" and "Raised by Wolves".
  • Tanzyn Crawford – Tansy. Known for "Savage River" and "The Clearing".
  • Henry Ashton – Daeron Targaryen. Appeared in "Bridgerton" (Netflix).
  • Youssef Kerkour – Steel Payton. Known to viewers from "Home" and "House of Gucci".
  • Tom Vaughan-Lawlor – Plummer. Known for his role in "Avengers: Infinity War".
  • Daniel Monks – Ser Manfred Dondarrion. Australian actor and writer, BAFTA-nominated for "The Passenger".

The series was created by George R. R. Martin – author of the book saga "A Song of Ice and Fire", and Ira Parker – writer of "House of the Dragon". Among the executive producers are Sarah Bradshaw ("Andor", "The Mummy"), Owen Harris ("Black Mirror: San Junipero"), Ryan Condal ("House of the Dragon") and Vince Gerardis ("Game of Thrones").
Directors are Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith, known for "Lessons in Chemistry" and "The Midnight Swim".
