Oppo Find X9 Pro with Mediatek 9500 shows better autonomy than Xiaomi 17 Pro Max with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
In a series of independent battery consumption tests, the Oppo Find X9 Pro showed better results than the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, confirming its efficiency in scenarios close to real-world usage.
The tests covered various scenarios: web surfing, video viewing, gaming, camera usage, social media, and standby mode. Although both smartphones have the same battery capacity (7500 mAh), they use different processors, and interestingly, Xiaomi has a Snapdragon 8 Elite 5, while Oppo opted for Dimensity 9500. Previously, Qualcomm processors were usually noted for better energy efficiency.
Oppo Find X9 Pro consistently lasted longer in most usage scenarios, especially in gaming and video, showing 10-15% better autonomy. In a synthetic test, Oppo lasted 7 hours and 18 minutes, while Xiaomi showed a result of 6 hours and 49 minutes (7%). For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max lasted 5 hours and 26 minutes, but it has a significantly smaller battery—only 5088 mAh.
