Deployment of OriginOS 6 is about to start: Vivo has revealed its gadget update plan to Android 16 (list)

At the presentation of the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro flagship smartphones, the company revealed the release schedule for updating its gadgets to the new version of the OriginOS 6 shell based on Android 16.

What is known

A few days ago, the Chinese brand officially introduced OriginOS 6, and today the deployment plan was announced.

Note that this schedule is relevant for the Chinese market, and the release dates for the global version will be published later, but they are unlikely to differ significantly.

The update will reach more than 90 models of Vivo and iQOO smartphones, including flagships, foldable devices, and tablets.

Update stages:

November 2025 — the first to receive OriginOS 6 will be:

  • Vivo X200, X200 Pro, X200 Ultra, X Fold 5
  • iQOO 13, iQOO Neo 10, Neo 10 Pro, and Pro+

December 2025:

  • Vivo X100, X100 Pro, X100s, X Fold 3, X Fold 3 Pro

January 2026:

  • Vivo X90, X90 Pro, X90 Pro+, S90s, S30, X Fold 2

February – May 2026:

  • Vivo S20, S19, S18, X Flip, Y300, Y500
  • iQOO Z9, Z8, Neo 9, Neo 8, iQOO 12, iQOO 11s

The update is also confirmed for Vivo Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro, Pad 5e, Pad 3, and Pad 3 Pro tablets.

OriginOS — the new generation shell for Vivo and iQOO smartphones — will bring significant interface changes:

  • updated design of the main screen, lock screen, and proprietary applications
  • deeper customization of widgets, inspired by Apple Liquid Glass style
  • round app icons and smoother animations
  • Blue River Smooth Engine — a new engine for improved performance, fast interface rendering, and app switching
  • voice AI assistant
  • AI resume formation for quick content review
  • AI photo editor with the ability to enhance quality, remove objects or people (even from Live Photos)
  • Circle to Search 2.0 — improved recognition of screen elements.
