Tandem OLED, Kirin 9030, and a 6000 mAh battery: insider reveals Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ specifications

Huawei is preparing to launch the Mate 80 Pro+ flagship, and a fresh leak from reputable insider Digital Chat Station sheds light on the key characteristics of the device, pointing to significant improvements in the screen, performance, and connectivity.

Main characteristics of Huawei Mate 80 Pro+:

• display: 6.88″ LTPO Tandem OLED with a 1.5K resolution and micro-curvature. The dual OLED structure promises high brightness, energy efficiency, and extended screen life;
• processor Kirin 9030 — successor to the Kirin 9020 with improved energy efficiency;
• battery: over 6000 mAh, supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging;
• support for eSIM and nanoSIM, which could become the first such solution in the Mate line.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ will receive the following camera set:

• front: single sensor with 3D ToF, possibly in a triple cutout.
• main camera: 50 MP LOFIC sensor (1/1.28") with variable aperture and 48 MP periscope with 3P+3P system for macro shooting and ultra-long zoom.

When to expect

According to Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Mate 80 series, including the Mate 80 Pro+ and the foldable Mate X7, could be unveiled as early as November 2025.
