Apple has introduced its flagship tablet for 2025 — the iPad Pro with the advanced Apple M5 chipset. The new product is aimed at professionals working with graphics, video, and AI, offering significant performance improvements, enhanced connectivity, and support for new iPadOS 26 features.

What is known

The iPad Pro M5 is available in two sizes: with 11 and 13-inch Ultra Retina XDR displays with ProMotion, HDR10, and Dolby Vision support, as well as storage from 256 GB to 2 TB with LPDDR5X RAM. The display's peak brightness reaches 1600 nits.

The tablet is equipped with proprietary communication modules: Apple N1 for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with support for Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7, while the cellular versions feature the proprietary Apple C1X modem, previously integrated into the iPhone Air.

The main feature of the model is undoubtedly the Apple M5 chipset: it is built on a 3nm process, includes a 10-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, as well as an updated 16-core Neural Engine. According to Apple, it is 15% faster than the M4 and 6.7 times faster than the M1 in video processing. Neural speed has increased 4 times compared to the previous generation, and the updated NPU module ensures an increase in AI tasks up to 3.5 times compared to the M4.

The tablet will be shipped with the latest iPadOS 26 with enhanced multitasking, new Pro app support, and AI feature integration.

The iPad Pro M5 features a 10,150 mAh battery in the 13″ version and an 8,600 mAh battery in the 11″ version. This allows the device to operate up to 10 hours with active use.

The body of the iPad Pro 2025 is made of aluminum and is available in Silver and Space Black colors.

When to expect and price

The iPad Pro 2025 price starts at $999. The new product will be available for sale on October 22, and pre-orders are already open.
