Samsung seems to have decided to abandon its line of thin and light Edge smartphones. Despite the fact that the Galaxy S25 Edge was released before Apple, its sales were disappointing: as of August, only 1.31 million units were shipped, which is significantly less compared to the Galaxy S25 (8.28 million), S25+ (5.05 million), and S25 Ultra (12.18 million).

According to the South Korean publication NewsPim, Samsung has already decided to cease production of the Edge series after selling out the remaining S25 Edge stock. An anonymous company representative confirmed that a return of this line is unlikely: "Not sure if the thin line (i.e., Edge) will ever return, but for now, it seems unlikely. It has practically disappeared."

Interestingly, despite the cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge, its development is already complete. There is a possibility that Samsung will release the smartphone under a different brand or as a limited local series.

Instead, Samsung is preparing to launch three Galaxy S26 models: Pro, Plus, and Ultra. Their presentation is expected in January, and they are set to become the company's main flagship models for 2026.
