The Redmi K90 series debuts earlier than expected and will receive a flagship Pro Max model
The launch of the Redmi K90 series was initially expected in November, but the company decided to speed up the presentation — it will take place this month. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing confirmed on Weibo that this year the K90 Pro Max model will join the lineup for the first time, positioned as a "true flagship".
According to preliminary data, the Redmi K90 Pro Max will receive a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the base K90 model will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Interestingly, the company is likely to skip the intermediate Pro model this time — the K90 will become the base variant, and the Pro Max will be the top one.

The K90 Pro Max is expected to feature a periscopic telephoto camera, allowing for improved zoom photography. The flagship price will exceed ¥4,000 (≈ $560), confirming its premium positioning.
More details, including the exact launch date, are expected to emerge soon.
