Bloomberg: the next MacBook Pro will be released with an M6 chip, an OLED screen, a thin case, and a Dynamic Island analog
Just a few days ago Apple introduced the MacBook Pro with the latest M5 chip, and the media already has information about the next generation of the flagship laptop.
What is known
Authoritative insider and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that the next MacBook Pro will receive many improvements.
Besides the obvious increase in performance thanks to the M6 chip, this will be the first model with an OLED screen instead of miniLED. According to Gurman, the novelty will receive a touch display, for which Apple will significantly strengthen the hinge so that the screen does not deflect upon touch, as happens with a number of models from other companies.
The company will also make changes to the laptop's design. It will receive a webcam hole, similar to the Dynamic Island on the iPhone. The computer case will become lighter and thinner, and after several generations, Apple will replace Touch ID
in the MacBook Pro with Face ID.
The MacBook Pro (M6) with an OLED screen is expected to be released at the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027, and its price may rise by $100–200.
