Ayaneo introduced the Pocket AIR Mini — an ultra-compact portable console for playing mobile and retro games

Ayaneo has introduced another portable gaming console — the Pocket AIR Mini.

What is known

The Chinese manufacturer positions the novelty as an affordable and lightweight gadget for lovers of mobile and retro games who are often on the move.

The Ayaneo Pocket AIR Mini has a 4.2" display with a peak brightness of 500 nits and a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. Interestingly, the aspect ratio is 4:3, which is atypical for such gadgets.

The new product runs on Android 11, and performance is powered by the Helio G90T chipset, whose power is sufficient to run modern mobile games and emulate some retro consoles.

Depending on the chosen model, the user will receive 2 or 3 GB of RAM and storage of 32/64 GB. The Pocket AIR Mini is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery with 18-watt charging, has a microSD slot, and supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.

The device dimensions are 166 x 83 x 19 mm with a weight of 269 g. Gamers will be offered three color options: black and two retro shades reminiscent of the iconic NES:

Anyone can support the release of the Pocket AIR Mini on the Indiegogo platform. It is stated that in retail the gadget will cost $90, but sponsors on Indiegogo will be able to purchase it for only $70.

The release date of the Pocket AIR Mini is still unknown.
