The release of the stylish shooter Mouse: P.I. For Hire has been postponed to 2026
The incredibly stylish and brutal shooter Mouse: P.I. For Hire was supposed to be one of the main indie releases of 2025, but the Polish studio Fumi Games announced the postponement of its release.
What is known
The game, which features a unique visual style reminiscent of early Disney cartoons (from the 1930s), is now slated for release in 2026 (without specifying a concrete date).
The reason for the delay is simple: the creators need more time to implement their ideas at a decent level and offer the public a cool game that presents a grim look at a world of anthropomorphic animals and is a kind of reimagining of Mickey Mouse's adventures.
On October 23, the Fumi Games studio will attend the Galaxies Gaming Showcase but will not make any announcements there.
Recall that the main character of Mouse: P.I. For Hire, Jack Pepper — a private detective who opposes bandits and corrupt authorities — will be voiced by Troy Baker, whose voice is used for major characters in cult games, such as Joel from The Last of Us and Higgs from Death Stranding.
Mouse: P.I. For Hire will be released on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
