Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 — flagship performance in the mid-range segment

Qualcomm announced a new system-on-chip, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, successor to last year’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. This is a major update for the 6s series, as it uses a 4nm process for the first time, resulting in a 36% increase in CPU performance and 59% faster graphics compared to its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 also supports Snapdragon Elite Gaming features (including Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch), cameras up to 200 MP, 2K HDR video recording, FHD+ displays with 144 Hz refresh rates, as well as modern communication standards such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.

Qualcomm has not announced which devices will receive the new chip, but it is expected that mid-range Xiaomi, OPPO, and Motorola will be the first to use it.
