Xiaomi has already been working on the next generation of tablets — the Pad 9 series, even though the Pad 8 hasn't yet even hit the international market. According to a new leak, the new lineup will also consist of two models: Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro. Their internal code names are "Erhu" and "Guitar," continuing the tradition of assigning musical code names that the company has used for several generations.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 is expected to be available in most global regions, except for Japan. At the same time, the Pad 9 Pro model is unlikely to appear in the Indian market. There is no information yet about other markets.

Although the technical specifications of the Pad 9 have not yet been revealed, one can refer to the current Pad 8 series. The basic Pad 8 model features an 11.2-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3.2K, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, Dolby Vision support, and TÜV certification for eye protection. It runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and is equipped with a 9,200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

The Pad 8 Pro offers an even higher level: Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (3 nm), a 50 MP main camera, 67W charging, 4K video recording support, and a matte finish with an anti-glare coating.
