Insider on Xiaomi 17 Ultra: flagship without an additional screen, but with an improved camera

Xiaomi is preparing to release the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which according to the latest leaks, could be released by the end of 2025. Important details about the novelty have become known thanks to the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station.

What is known

Digital Chat Station claims that the new flagship will receive a large round camera module, due to which it will lose the signature additional display on the back panel, like the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max. But instead, the Chinese company will offer serious improvements in the camera.

Main features of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra cameras:

• a new 50 MP main camera with a larger sensor and improved in-sensor zoom technology will ensure smooth transitions to telephoto without quality loss;
• a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with a large sensor supports multiple focal lengths and a telemacro mode, allowing for high zoom shooting;
• the high dynamic range of both cameras promises a noticeable increase in photo and video quality.

Emphasis on cameras in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could make it one of the most advanced camera phones on the market.

According to insider information, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be equipped with the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, as well as a 6.8" flat OLED display with a 2K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone will be available in black, white and purple body colors.
