LG has unveiled a new gaming monitor, the UltraGear 27GX704A, featuring a 26.5″ OLED panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a response time of only 0.03 ms.

The monitor is currently available only in the US for $779 (on Amazon), but the global launch of the LG UltraGear 27GX704A has already been confirmed, although exact regional dates have not been announced.

What is known

The monitor features a second-generation glossy WOLED panel with QHD (2560×1440) resolution, covering 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space with 10-bit color depth support. The maximum brightness reaches 1300 nits in HDR mode, and the contrast is stated to be 1,500,000:1. The device is certified by the DisplayHDR 400 True Black standard and supports HDR10.

For a smooth gaming experience, it supports all current anti-aliasing technologies: AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-Sync, and VESA AdaptiveSync. Additional features include Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action Sync, a built-in FPS counter, a crosshair in the center of the screen (for shooters), as well as reading mode and flicker protection.

The UltraGear 27GX704A has a modern design with a four-sided borderless construction and Hexagon RGB lighting on the back panel. The stand allows you to adjust the height (up to 130 mm), tilt, swivel, and pivot the screen. Connectivity interfaces include two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, USB-B (upstream), two USB-A (downstream), and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

This model is somewhat inferior to the more expensive 27GX700A with Tandem OLED in terms of brightness and energy efficiency, but it offers an excellent price-to-features ratio.
