Media: OnePlus Turbo gaming phone to launch at the end of 2025 with a new chipset, 8000mAh battery, and 165Hz refresh rate

Information has surfaced online that OnePlus is preparing to release a new gaming smartphone, which could become the brand's most high-performance device.

It will be called OnePlus Turbo and will offer excellent features at an affordable price.

What is known

The Indian portal Smartprix published insider information revealing that OnePlus Turbo will feature the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset (a simplified version of the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) and a powerful 8000mAh battery.

The smartphone is being developed as a separate lineup, different from the usual OnePlus and Ace series. It will be a specialized device for mobile gaming, with a focus on performance, cooling, and autonomy. According to the insider, OnePlus Turbo will have a unique design with gaming gadget accents — possibly with RGB lighting, an active cooling system, and ergonomics tailored for horizontal use.

According to unconfirmed information, the new product will feature an OLED display with a diagonal of about 6.7″, a resolution of 1.5K, and a refresh rate of 165Hz.

OnePlus Turbo is expected to debut in China at the end of 2025, and then appear in the global market. The smartphone is currently undergoing testing in India.
