Toyota unveiled the new concept car Turbo Trail Cruiser, created specifically for the SEMA 2025 tuning show. This car combines vintage FJ60 styling, increased ground clearance, and a modern powertrain.

What is known

Under the hood of the Turbo Trail Cruiser is a 3.4-liter V6 i-Force engine with twin turbochargers from the modern Toyota Tundra. The powertrain produces 389 hp and 650 Nm, which is almost twice the similar parameters of the original six-cylinder unit. Special engine mounts, an original cooling system scheme, and specialized wiring were created for its installation. An adapter plate has been installed for connection with the original five-speed manual transmission.

The custom exhaust system provides a more aggressive sound to match the car's characteristics. Ground clearance is increased by 1.5 inches (3.5 cm). Polished rims with beadlocks and massive 35-inch tires are installed. However, the body itself is preserved in its original form and even the halogen headlights remain in place.

The only changes to the interior are the JBL audio system and the central touchscreen display.

The Turbo Trail Cruiser will join more than two dozen Toyota concepts at SEMA 2025 in Las Vegas, including theCamry GT-S. The exhibition will be held from November 4 to 8.
