Announced Loulan: The Cursed Sand — a stylish Chinese action RPG being created with support from PlayStation

Sony announced a game being created as part of the China Hero Project initiative.

ChillyRoom studio presented the debut trailer for the dynamic action RPG Loulan: The Cursed Sand, thematically somewhat reminiscent of the Prince of Persia series.

What is known

The events of Loulan: The Cursed Sand unfold in a place developers call “the mysterious lands of the Far West, where the Great Silk Road passed.”

The story focuses on a cursed warrior who has risen from the dead and seeks to reach the kingdom of Loulan to find his beloved. He will have to fight a large number of enemies, aided in battle by magical abilities related to sand.

The protagonist can switch between two forms: in the first, he appears as a living skeleton with immense physical strength, and in the second, he appears as a human, enhancing his magical abilities.

The entire gameplay of Loulan: The Cursed Sand is presented from a “top-down” view, but the high detail and a large number of well-executed animations give the game cinematic and spectacular qualities.

When to expect

Loulan: The Cursed Sand does not yet have an exact release date. The game is being developed for PC (Steam and EGS) and PS5.
