Soon after the release of the Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro models, detailed specifications of another flagship - Honor Magic 8 Ultra - have surfaced online.

What is known

The smartphone is clearly aimed at competing with the upcoming "ultra"-flagships Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra. According to a Digital Chat Station insider, the device will get a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a large 200MP periscopic sensor and a battery of around 7,000mAh.

The Honor Magic 8 Ultra will feature a 6.7″ LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution. The biometric system includes an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition. The device will run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

The main camera will offer an OmniVision OV50R sensor with extended dynamic range, while the periscopic module will get a resolution of up to 200MP and an optical zoom range of 4.3-7x. The OV50R sensor is expected to enter mass production in the first quarter of 2026, which could indicate a release date for the smartphone itself.

The Magic 8 Ultra is expected to support wired charging up to 120W and wireless charging up to 50W, similar to the Magic 8 Pro.
