Honda unveiled a new prototype of the Honda 0 series — Honda 0 α (alpha) at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The new model is a forerunner of the electric crossover, "primarily" aimed at Japan and India.

What is known

Honda 0 α is being developed as a vehicle designed to harmoniously fit into both urban and natural environments, supporting people's lives in any situation. Following the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV, showcased at CES 2025 in January this year, Honda 0 α is envisioned as the "starter model" for the Honda 0 Series lineup.

Honda states that the design philosophy of this model adheres to a "subtle" design concept, meaning it has enough ground clearance to qualify as a crossover, but without an excessively high profile. Unlike its older sibling, the α has conventional side mirrors instead of side-view cameras.

The front part is almost identical to the front panel of the larger 0 SUV, but with different lighting. The same characteristic U-shaped light line is provided at the rear. The range of the future serial version is expected to be around 480 km.

The production model based on the Honda 0 α will be released in 2027. Honda states that it is "primarily" targeted at Japan and India, but there is no reason why we should not expect it to appear in Europe and other parts of the world. Both Series 0 electric vehicles will be manufactured at Honda EV Hub in the United States.
