The ultra-thin Motorola Edge 70 smartphone debuted on the global market with a high degree of protection, an excellent camera set, and a brighter display
The ultra-thin Moto X70 Air smartphone from Motorola debuted earlier this week in China and generated great interest from the public due to its high performance, compact body, stylish design, and excellent set of cameras.
Motorola did not delay the global release and launched the smartphone worldwide, but under the name Motorola Edge 70.
What is known
In terms of specifications, the Motorola Edge 70 does not differ from its Chinese iteration. It has a 6.7″ pOLED display (AMOLED is offered in China) with a resolution of 1.5K (2712 × 1220 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and peak brightness up to 4500 nits, providing excellent readability in the brightest lighting. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and the body is made of aluminum alloy with a thickness of only 5.99 mm and a weight of 159 grams.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset with Adreno 722 graphics, supplemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512 GB storage capacity.
Autonomy is provided by a 4800 mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. The gadget runs on Android 16 and supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and Dolby Atmos, with a USB-C 3.1 port used for charging.
Motorola Edge 70 offers an excellent set of cameras:
- main sensor - 50 MP with optical stabilization;
- 50 MP wide-angle module with a field of view of 120°;
- 50 MP front camera supports 4K video recording.
The Motorola Edge 70 has two levels of protection - IP68 and IP69, and also complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810H. This makes it one of the thinnest and at the same time, most protected smartphones on the market.
The cost of the smartphone is €800, which is twice as expensive as the Chinese model ($410 for 12/512 GB).
