Last week, Microsoft announced Halo: Campaign Evolved — a remake of the first installment of the iconic shooter series, which will be released in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.

The announcement was met with mixed reactions: Xbox fans are unhappy with the loss of one of the last console exclusives, while PlayStation users thank the developers for the opportunity to experience the famous series for the first time.

Be that as it may, the remake sparked great interest, and developers may update two more installments.

What is known

The Halo Leaks fanpage reported that Halo Studios is currently developing similar remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3. It is stated that, like in Campaign Evolved, there will be no multiplayer mode, but the updated single-player campaign will feature additional gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to sprint (it is possible that the arsenal will also be expanded).

It should be noted that although Halo Leaks has a certain authority among fans of the series, the fanpage has not yet gained unconditional trust, so the information about the remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3 should be taken with caution, but it cannot be denied that such a decision by Microsoft would be quite justified and would not require significant resources.
