In early September, Activision and Paramount officially announced the filming of a realistic and thrilling movie based on the Call of Duty franchise. No details were shared with the public at the time, but it was stated that it would be an exciting film on the level of 'Top Gun: Maverick'.

Viewers are indeed likely to expect a cool movie, as it is being produced by two experienced Hollywood veterans.

What is known

Deadline reported that Paramount has approved Taylor Sheridan, the author of 'Yellowstone', as the writer of the Call of Duty movie, while the director's chair will be taken by Peter Berg, the director of the cult film 'Hancock' and the dramatic series 'The Leftovers'.
