Fractured Utopias will be released in December — the first major expansion for Frostpunk 2

The developers from 11 bit studios revealed the release date and main features of the first expansion for the post-apocalyptic city-building strategy Frostpunk 2.

What is known

The Polish studio announced that the add-on is called Fractured Utopias and will be released on December 8 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.

The main innovations of this DLC concern the Utopia Builder mode.

The expansion extends the capabilities for building and managing the colony. Players will have the opportunity to harshly eliminate useless segments of the population or use automated mechanisms to optimize the work process and increase the community's chances of survival.

Fractured Utopias will add the following content:

• 8 unique factional utopias, each with new systems, tools, and endings;
• 12 unique unlocks (laws / new centers / abilities) for each faction;
• 8 new faction centers (1 per faction);
• 8 new housing area options for different factions;
• more than 100 new random narrative events;
• 2 premium stories “Doomsayers” and “Plague”;
• 1 new map.

The developer presented an atmospheric trailer for Fractured Utopias, which showcases the main features of the expansion.
