SpaceX performed the 100th Falcon 9 rocket launch of 2025, delivering 28 Starlink satellites to orbit

On October 31, SpaceX performed a landmark 100th Starlink satellite launch of 2025. The Falcon 9 rocket launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, delivering 28 more satellites to low Earth orbit.

What is known

This is already the 138th Falcon 9 launch this year, of which 99 were dedicated solely to the expansion of Starlink — the largest satellite system in history. In total, SpaceX has launched over 10,000 satellites into orbit, of which almost 8,800 remain active.

The first stage of the rocket returned to Earth 8.5 minutes after launch, landing on the drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You" in the Pacific Ocean. This was already the 29th flight of the first stage of this rocket with tail number 1063. Previously, the maximum number of re-flights reached 31.
